Your Role as Board Treasurer

You agreed to serve as the board treasurer. What were you thinking? More to the point, what do you do now? Not to worry. Being treasurer can be fun—really—and you can also serve an extremely valuable role for your organization. This class will give you the basics to perform the role happily and effectively.

Join us and learn:

  • What are the required financial reports and how do they relate to one another?
  • What is the Financial Accounting Standards Board and why do you care?
  • Is the treasurer the bookkeeper? If not, who is?
  • What are the annual state and federal reporting requirements?
  • How can you use technology to lighten the load?

These important questions and more will be discussed as you get a clearer view of how the treasurer functions in both a large or small nonprofit.

This class is for any treasurer of a nonprofit board of directors.
