--Questions you should ask before starting a nonprofit organization

--Basic nonprofit governance and management considerations

--How nonprofit organizations differ from for-profit organizations

 With over 1200 nonprofits in San Luis Obispo County it is important to understand the competition, partnership and culture of the local nonprofit sector. This class is an important first step for anyone considering starting a nonprofit organization.

Presented by: Jenna Espinosa, Spokes’ Vision Weaver. Jenna has been in nonprofit management for five years and supports nonprofits of all types in her role at Spokes. She enjoys reviewing bylaws, coaching and facilitation, and solving problems through systems design. Prior to joining the staff at Spokes she served as the Executive Director of San Luis Obispo-based 501c3, Central Coast Grown, for three years.
